RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Ruaha national park is situated roughly in the center of Tanzania, is 10 300 sq km and sits at an average altitude of 1000m, resulting in a savanna type environment, in keeping with the traditional safari experience.
Msembe, Ruaha’s Largest Ranger post, is the location of the most commonly used airstrip within the park. Departing from the Coast, Dar es Salaam, would take you approximately 2 and a half hours to cover the 480 km journey. The flight from Arusha is roughly the same, being slightly further away at 511km from airstrip to airstrip, and traveling to the only other airstrip within the park, Jongomero, from Msembe, is a matter of 5 to 10 minutes.
Coastal provides a daily scheduled flight to Ruaha from Dar es Salaam and Arusha. For details on flight times please see Coastal’s Flight Schedule. If you would like to enquire about a charter flight please contact Coastal by email or telephone.
